Being a veteran with 30 years of experience in the music industry, Dean Augustine started out in Tower Records Singapore, eventually rising to the position of the General Manager. Soon after, headhunted by local music retailer Gramophone, he managed Operations & Marketing and tripled its business operations in Singapore.
Following that, he was scouted by Ken Suzuki, co-founder of Avex Trax, to join music label S2S Inc. initially as Head of A&R/Marketing, later being promoted to Managing Director. He managed S2S in Asia (excluding Japan) and Worldwide. During his stint at S2S, he started the artist development and promotion of both local and international artists.
In 2015, Dean founded Cross Ratio Entertainment as a local record label to groom and assist local Singaporean artistes to break into the music industry across the world.
With the changes of the music industry and the digital expansion, the company has grown from a record label with a proven track record in grooming successful artistes into a one-stop shop, fully integrated agency with a focus on the South-East Asia region. Other than artiste management, distribution and publishing, the company delves into digital marketing, PR management, project management and event management for brands that are music and beyond.
